Brief position description: The Bowtell Lab are seeking an experienced bioinformatician with strong data analysis and processing skills to enhance and support the analysis framework for multi-omics data from ovarian cancer patients. The position involves the analysis and management of large-scale multi-omic data through the application of best-practice bioinformatics workflows and the deployment of innovative methods as required. The position requires a highly motivated and skilled bioinformatician or computational biologist with expertise in the analysis of cancer DNA sequencing (whole-genome, targeted) and RNA sequencing data, integration of genome-wide datasets, proficiency in programming languages (R and UNIX) and experience with working on high-performance computing clusters. The incumbent will work closely with researchers and clinicians within the Bowtell laboratory and collaborate with other national and international teams to help facilitate joint initiatives.
