Position title: BioCloud DevOps Engineer

Brief position description: As the BioCloud DevOps Engineer, you will work collaboratively with the Australian BioCommons (NCRIS) and the Sydney Informatics Hub (SIH) to develop, deploy, maintain, and continuously improve national data analytics platforms and services. You will have the opportunity to address the emerging needs of the Australian life sciences community and provide strategic support for national organisations. Your key responsibilities will be to: - report to the Australian BioCommons and Bioinformatics Group Lead in the SIH - explore technical solutions with the ‘Response to Community Roadmaps’ Scientific Business Analyst, the BioCommons - Platforms and Services Team and the BioCommons BioCloud Delivery Team - develop new or extend existing BioCommons services and software that are robust, scalable, and maintainable - collaborate and move newly established services to BAU (business as usual) processes - work collaboratively with other parts of SIH to build and develop an entrepreneurial culture - develop common technical skill sets with other SIH team members.
