Brief position description: About the institution
The ACRF (Australian Cancer Research Foundation) Cancer Genomics Facility sits within SA Pathology and is part of the Centre for Cancer Biology (CCB), an alliance between SA Pathology and University of South Australia. The Facility develops and provides leading edge Genomics Services to researchers in the CCB and other organisations in South Australia and interstate, with a focus on innovation and translation of research to enable new diagnostic tests. The Facility also provides NATA-accredited services to SA Pathology, SA's public pathology provider, for both inheritable disease and cancer genetic testing.
About the role
The primary objective of the Bioinformatician is to contribute to the delivery of high-throughput genetic testing technologies by implementing, developing and maintaining genome analysis solutions for research and diagnostic applications. The candidate will participate in research activities, including research publications and applications for funding, as appropriate.
