Brief position description: We are seeking a talented and committed Bioinformatics Officer with a PhD or graduate degree who has extensive experience in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Systems Biology, Computer Science or Statistics. A background in cell biology would be appropriate. The overall goal of our team is to understand the impact of cancer therapy on both the tumour cell and its microenvironment, our aim is to develop novel treatment strategies that are durable and prevent therapy resistance. To address our aim we are using multiple high-throughput technologies, including single-cell RNA sequencing, lineage tracing, long read RNA sequencing, spatial transcriptomics and multiplex immunohistochemistry. The Bioinformatics Officer would be responsible for both implementing existing available tools and packages as well as developing novel methods, analysis tools or strategies to understand changes in tumour cell biology and the tumour microenvironment.
