As a Research Associate/Senior Research Associate in Genomics and Future Health Systems, you will be expected to carry out both independent and collaborative team research on aspects of clinically relevant genomics and future health systems, contributing to the research effort of the International Centre for Future Health Systems whilst maintaining strong links with researchers in the Faculty of Science. You would be expected to form strong links with the Ramaciotti Centre for Genomics.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining a strong linkage to researchers in the Faculty of Science, especially those doing clinically relevant genomics and the bioinformatics thereof.
- Interface with clinicians and NSW Health to streamline genomic technology adoption and highlight clinical needs to the Ramaciotti Centre for Genomics.
- Contributing to the development of applications for competitive funding under the guidance of senior colleagues.
- Participating as a co-investigator or chief investigator in competitive grant applications or show evidence of active participation in research collaborations funded by competitive grants.
Designing research projects.
Mentoring and guiding students and colleagues and develop the next generation of academics through involvement in supervision of HDRs
