ABACBS 2025 will be held in Adelaide at the iconic Adelaide Oval during the week of November 24, 2025. We are delighted to be celebrating 10 years of ABACBS conferences. The 2025 ABACBS conference will be taking place on Kaurna country. We pay respects to the Kaurna people of the Adelaide plains and to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

We have an exciting line up of national and international speakers which we will announce in the coming weeks. Stay tuned here for information on registration and abstract submission. The program will follow our traditional format:

  • Monday, Nov 24 – Satellite meetings, including COMBINE, SBEI (the professional bioinformatics symposium), and an EMCR targeted event building on last year’s successful hackathon.

  • Tuesday & Wednesday, Nov 25–26 – Main ABACBS conference with multiple parallel sessions.

  • Thursday & Friday, Nov 27–28 – Hands-on workshops to be held at a nearby venue in the Adelaide CBD.

  • Abstract submissions open - ~ May

  • Deadline for workshop EOIs - Friday 1st of August

  • Deadline for oral presentation submissions - ~ August

  • Deadline for poster submissions - ~ August

  • Notification of oral presentations outcomes - ~ September

  • Notification of poster outcomes - ~ September 

  • Registrations close - ~ mid November

  • ABACBS 2025 begins! - Monday 24th of November
