Brief position description: The Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre offers cutting edge cancer genomics screening and analysis for actionable clinical interpretation. This position will support the Pathology Department by assisting with clinical bioinformatics requirements for the analysis of next generation sequencing data, implementation and maintenance of pipelines around design, performance, validation and quality control. The ability to perform NGS data analysis using computer programming and Unix-based servers is required. The successful candidate will be working closely with wet lab scientists, clinicians, and software developers.
