Brief position description: The Davidson lab at WEHI are seeking a post doctoral researcher to join our bioinformatics lab. The role will focus on applying and/or developing novel bioinformatics methods to study the transcriptome in cancer, using data generated by contemporary and emerging transcriptome sequencing technologies, such as long reads.

The role of the Bioinformatics Research Officer is to contribute to and influence the laboratories research program with minimum supervision. To develop and apply mathematical, statistical and computer science principles and techniques to solve problems and to provide advice and mentoring to Research Assistants and students.

The appointee will be working under the supervision of Dr Nadia Davidson and will be joint appointed between the Blood Cell and Blood Cancer (BCBC) Division and Bioinformatics Division at WEHI.
