Brief position description: Location - Bern, Switzerland The role - CSL has an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Scientist, Computational Genomics to join our growing Bioinformatics team in CSL Global Research Data Science. In this role, you will provide scientific and technical expertise to help the advancement of biomedical research in the pre-clinical, platform-build and product development areas of drug development using advanced bioinformatics and genomics methods. You will expand CSL’s R&D capability to leverage and integrate public and commercial genomic data with in-house generated data, as well as continuingly integrating novel, cutting-edge ‘omic technologies and analytics into the drug development pipeline. You will contribute to our expanding capability in gene therapy related informatics and analytics - Design and analyse omic experiments using platforms including NGS / single cell / long-read, genomic / transcriptomic / proteomic sequencing, to answer key questions around cell biology, drug mechanism-of-action, target validation and biomarker discovery - Contribute to the interpretation and reporting of the biological insights derived from omic experiments and bioinformatics analyses in collaboration with life scientists and other subject-matter experts at CSL. - Work with in-house and external bioinformatics software developers to develop automated and reproducible analysis workflows
